February 7, 2024

• Dr.K.L.Shunmuganathan, Principal, Jaya Engineering College introduced Dr.N.S.Kumar, Managing Director, Shanmuga Charitable Foundation, Former Scientist & Associate Director , DRDO to the members of the R&D Board.
• Dr.N.S.Kumar gave an overview of the research activities to be done in the engineering colleges in terms of research proposals, paper publications, students projects, and others.
• He requested each HoD to briefly explain his / her research areas, the department R&D activities, proposals submitted, papers published etc and he gave many valuable suggestions to them.
• Dr.K.L.Shunmuganathan, Principal and Dr.M.Somasundaram, Dean – Research facilitated discussion on the steps to be taken to improve the research activities.

August 24, 2023

• Dr.K.L.Shunmuganathan , Director welcomed the members of the R&D Board. He discussed the progress of paper publishing. He advised to focus more on publishing papers.
• Dr.M.Somasundaram , Dean – Research discussed the activities done to review the UG and PG students’ projects and convert them into papers for publishing. Accordingly, papers were published / presented / submitted by students of CSE, IT and Textile. Among them 3 papers received the Best Paper awards in the respective conferences / sessions.
• Dr.K.L.Shunmuganathan, Director congratulated the faculty members and students who have won the awards:
  • Kumaran M, Somasundaram M, Vairamuthu and G. Naveen for the paper titled ‘Intrapreneurship: A strategy for talent retention and business growth with academic collaboration’ in the International Conference on Creating futuristic work design – Defying the business downturn organized by Krupanidhi College of Management, Bengaluru on July 22, 2023.
  • Somasundaram M, Kumaran M, Jamuna and Sandhiya R for the paper titled ‘Scalable Payment Verification for Blockchain Transaction on IOT Devices’, in the ICETSE-2023: International Conference on Emerging Technologies in Science and Engineering organized by Amity University, Kolkata during July 20th to 21st, 2023
  • Kumaran M, Pragya Misra and Ezhilarasi V for the paper titled ‘Secure Framework for Land Registration Verification’, in the ICETSE-2023: International Conference on Emerging Technologies in Science and Engineering organized by Amity University, Kolkata during July 20th to 21st, 2023
• Dr. Muthukumaran K. Asso.Professor / EIE presented the details of the papers published and submitted as available in the Google drive. (The details are as attached)

April 8, 2023

• Dr. K. Muthukumaran, Associate Professor / EIE presented the status of the research activities at institution level by presenting the details of (i) papers published and (ii) proposals submitted and under preparation and (iii) Google drive updation
• Dr.K.L.Shunmuganathan, Director and Dr.M.Somasundaram, Dean – Research facilitated discussion on the steps to be taken to improve the research activities.

March 11, 2023

• Dr. K. Muthukumaran. Associate Professor / EIE presented the status of the research activities at institution level by presenting (i) details of papers published and (ii) creation of Google drive for paper publication. The Google drive access has been given to the Management, Director, Dean – Research, Principal, Vice Principal and all the HoDs.
• Dr.K.L.Shunmuganathan, Director and Dr.M.Somasundaram, Dean – Research facilitated discussion on the steps to be taken to improve the research activities.

February 27, 2023

• R&D Board was constituted
• Dr.K.L.Shunmuganathan, Director discussed in detail about the importance of R&D activities and paper publishing.
• Dr.M.Somasundaram, Dean – Research discussed the plan for publishing papers. He elaborated about various Journals and Conferences.
• The procedures for the R&D Board were discussed. The activities to be done by the faculty members were discussed.
