About the Department

The department f English came into being in 1995 along with the inception of the college. The English program exposes the students to the study of texts in contexts with emphasis on creative and critical understanding of life through language .it aims at developing research based subject knowledge in the students and focuses on creating scholars capable of independent research as well as learning and pedagogic practices .the department has also been engaged in fostering English language skills in student from diverse backround.thus empowering them to meet the challenges of globalised societies

MISSION

The overall mission of the English Department is to promote the study of worldwide language written in english and extend the understanding of how the english language is intertwined with the various cultures of those who speak and write it.

ACTIVITIES

TOAST MASTER CLUB

Start with the concepts of construction and content, The Toast Master Club has been conducted by English Department. The main purpose of the club is to establish, encourage and foster the students multi – talents.

Being listeners and participants the students responded to content that is relatable or of personal values. The students have participated wholeheartedly and have done breathtaking performances. We have conducted many games, quiz and activities where students have used to cultivate their communication skills.
