Dr. C. S. Ravichandran is a distinguished academic leader and forward-thinking educator currently serving as Principal of Jaya Engineering College, Chennai. With deep expertise in Power Systems, Power Electronics, and Control Systems, he brings decades of rich experience and an unwavering passion for innovation to the heart of engineering education and research.

He holds a Ph.D. in Control Systems (2008) from PSG College of Technology, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore; an M.E. in Power Systems (1993) from NIT Trichirappali; and a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (1989) from Shanmugha College of Engineering, Thanjavur. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Ravichandran has held pivotal leadership roles—including Principal, Dean, Professor, Head of Department, and Controller of Examinations—enabling him to champion academic excellence, nurture future leaders, and significantly elevate institutional standards.

A dedicated researcher and mentor, he has successfully guided 20 Ph.D. scholars to completion and is currently supervising one more at Anna University. His remarkable scholarly contributions include 195 publications in reputed journals and conferences, along with 8 patents and 6 copyrights that demonstrate his pioneering work in sustainable and efficient power technologies.

Dr. Ravichandran’s outstanding achievements have been recognized with four prestigious awards. His practical knowledge has also driven three impactful industry consultancy projects. Deeply committed to continuous learning, he has organized 60 Faculty Development Programs, workshops, and seminars, while actively participating in 75 others to stay at the forefront of technological advancements.
